About OK Student

OK Student was founded in 2008 with a simple purpose: to help students unlock their full potential by supporting them to navigate the application process for studying abroad and making sure they settle in well.

1. Career Prospects and Degree Recognition

UK Degrees are recognized worldwide. Whether students aim to pursue an additional degree or seek a job back home or abroad, they will benefit from the competitive advantage of having a British degree. Additionally, students can often gain experience through practice and internships during their course, further enhancing their employability and real-world skills.

97% of US students who studied in the UK were employed or in graduate school within one year of graduating, compared to the American average of 84%.

2. Exciting Student life

With over 2 million students attending British universities each year, meeting new people and immersing oneself in a vibrant student culture is incredibly appealing. Academic life is dynamic and vibrant, with plenty of clubs, societies, and events for students to get involved in.

Students also have the chance to explore UK’s cities and towns, each with its unique character and atmosphere!

3. Student life in Europe

UK universities offer a vibrant academic experience with a variety of extracurricular activities, including events, clubs, and societies.

In terms of safety, UK ranks 34th globally, providing students with affordable healthcare and quality transportation. Moreover, UK’s location provides easy access to various European countries.

Additionally, students have the opportunity to explore the distinct character and atmosphere of UK cities and towns or travel to over ten different countries within a two-hour flight, including popular destinations like Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, and Ireland.

4. Get credits recognized easily

UK universities typically follow the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which is widely recognized across Europe and other parts of the world. This system makes it easier for American students to transfer credits earned in the UK back to their home institutions.

In addition, UK universities often have academic advisors and international offices that provide guidance and support to international students, including assistance with credit transfer and academic planning. This ensures that American students can make the most of their study abroad experience and stay on track with their academic goals.

5. life-changing experience

Living and studying in a new country can challenge students in ways that they may not have experienced before. They may have to navigate unfamiliar social norms, language barriers, and cultural differences, which can be both exciting and challenging. This experience can broaden their horizons, increase their confidence, and help them develop intercultural competence, which is an essential skill in our globalized world.
